Why we only make one thing
SleepHush makes a single product: a reusable silicone earplug low enough to sleep on. Not a range. One thing, for one problem.
The problem with most earplugs
Foam works until about three in the morning, when it has slowly pushed itself out of your ear. It also goes in the bin — a pair a night, every night.
The reusable ones mostly solve that, then introduce a new problem: a hard stem or an outer ring that sits proud of the ear. Fine if you sleep on your back. If you sleep on your side, the pillow presses that ring into your ear canal all night.
What we changed
The part of a SleepHush plug that sits outside your ear is a low dome, not a stem. The pillow presses the dome, and the dome has nowhere to push. That is the whole idea, and it is why we do not also sell plugs for concerts, swimming or motorbikes — those need a different shape.
What we will not tell you
- That noise disappears. It does not. An earplug reduces sound; a loud alarm beside your head still gets through, which is usually what you want.
- That one size fits every ear. It does not — which is why four tip sizes come in the box rather than being sold as an upgrade.
- That they will fix insomnia. If what wakes you is not noise, these will not help, and we would rather you did not buy them.
